Introduction

The client had been working with an older version of Salesforce for opportunities and marketing campaigns, with an ERP for accounting and supply chain management. They were also relying on paper processes and institutional knowledge for a number of complex processes which were no longer sustainable. Standard wanted to eliminate reliance on multiple solutions, update their existing interface, automate, and upload complex quoting information to then enable a wider range of users.

Solution

This was a multi-phase solution implemented over an extended period of time. Following a move to Sales Cloud Lightning, we implemented Revenue Cloud to simplify the client’s quoting process; SCM to create sales orders; and Conga Composer to generate documents based on Salesforce fields, print picklists, batches of invoices and send notifications. They can also create work orders with dispatches generated automatically through Field Service whenever installation is required.

Results

By migrating their accounting system to FinancialForce, they now have their financials connected directly to their CRM data with visibility across operations. As a whole, the project now allows teams to have an eye on inventory levels, review the pipeline, and plan accordingly. Customer service has the capacity to better manage cases and online activity, while management enjoys a global vision of their business, all in one place.
